Rarely have I receive a CD that appealed to me so quickly like this one did. “Nocturnal” is a masterpiece of intricate song writing, sweet guitar solos, mind-blowing drumming, ruthless riffing, and dark lyrics that only THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER could create. Covering such topics as serial killers, suicide, necrophilia, and misanthropy, this CD is a blood soaked opus of horrific prose.
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER has set the bar a little higher with their third release, "Nocturnal". Their trademark brutal yet melodic style has been fine-tuned with the addition of a new drummer and a new bassist. The band now consists of Trevor Strnad on Vocals, Brian Eschbach on Guitars, John Kempainen on Guitar, and featuring ex- ALL THAT REMAINS drummer Shannon Lucas, and Ryan "Bart" Williams on Bass.
